Asif Nasir

Biography

Asif Nasir is a self-employed businessman with a food business in Kilmarnock. He has run his own business for the last 5 years. Previous to this he was involved in telemarketing and customer services with British Telecom and Sky. Asif was born in Pakistan and came to Scotland in 1981. He attended Ibrox Primary School and Bellahouston Academy. He is married and has a 3-year old son and lives in Govanhill. Asif does a lot of voluntary work in the local Pakistani community. His interests include football, cricket, community work and meeting new people.

Reasons for Supporting the New Party

As a small businessman heavily involved in the local community I am very aware of how dissatisfied and angry many people are with our politicians, especially the young. It seems to me that all politicians should first of all have had a proper career before going into politics. It saddens me to see this country getting weaker and I hope that the New Party can make a difference
