Evelyn Timson

Biography

Evelyn lives in Surrey with her husband and two year old son. For the last 14 years she has worked in sales & marketing for a variety of blue chip companies, her previous post being Corporate Marketing Director of Datamonitor plc. She also spent 2 years working as a freelance marketing consultant for both a B2B exhibitions/publishing division of United News, and on the planning team for the development of the Excel exhibition centre in the Docklands. In August 2002 Evelyn started working with a small independent business, Advance Media Information (AMI), a news and forward planning agency providing advance editorial information to the media, to help them achieve their ambitious growth and development plans. She loves to travel and entertain, and values her family time greatly. Her key interests are cinema & theatre, reading, walking and spending time with her family

Reasons for Supporting the New Party

I previously had little interest in political affiliation, but I felt that the New Party offered me a good opportunity to get involved in politics and be a part of a team who could address many of its wrongs. I believe that the New Party offers a new perspective and fresh outlook, avoiding the rigid left and right positions traditional in the political arena. Being new we have had the advantage of being able to look at each area of government and adopt a common sense approach. Consequently, we have been able to adopt some very enlightened and dynamic policies.
