New Party candidates make good progress
Two New Party candidates made good progress in yesterday's local council elections.
In Chorley, Colin Denby increased his previous share of the vote in the Chorley North East ward to over 16.3%. Meanwhile in the Mirfield ward of Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council, David Pinder again finished fourth out of six candidates, increasing his vote share to more than 8% and receiving over a hundred more votes than the Liberal Democrat and Green candidates combined.
Congratulations and thanks to both candidates and their helpers for their hard work and excellent progress.
